Why does my faucet keep dripping even when it's fully off?
What’s likely going on
A worn-out rubber washer or a failing internal cartridge is almost always the cause — small parts that seal the water flow, and simply wear out with age and use. It's a wear-and-tear problem, not a sign anything is failing structurally.
Is this a DIY job or worth calling someone?
A drip is more of a nuisance (and a slow water-bill leak) than a hazard, so there's no rush — but the part is usually inexpensive to replace once someone identifies exactly which one it is for your faucet's specific design.
