Why is my refrigerator not cooling properly anymore?
What’s likely going on
Dirty condenser coils (usually on the back or underneath the fridge) restricting heat exchange is one of the most common and most overlooked causes. A failing compressor, a bad door seal letting cold air escape, or a thermostat issue are the other usual suspects.
Is this a DIY job or worth calling someone?
Vacuuming the condenser coils is safe to do yourself and solves this more often than people expect. If cleaning the coils doesn't help, especially with food actively at risk of spoiling, that's worth having looked at promptly rather than waiting.
Not sure, or ready to have someone take care of it?
